Over the weekend, the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal described plans for Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty and Bruciato to become the main tenants at The Old Hardware Store in a feature entitled “Pizza night will spin off into full-time Bainbridge restaurant” by Tim Kelly of the Kitsap Sun. The article goes into depth regarding Bruciato, Brendan McGill’s “pop-up” pizza service that currently operates out of Hitchcock on Monday nights. Of the forthcoming restaurant, Kelly describes that “McGill plans for the new place to have a full bar, with an open, family-friendly dining area centered around the special wood-fired oven that’s coming from Naples Italy.”
And while the pizza will be made in an upscale, authentic Neapolitan-style, “the new place will have a more casual atmosphere than Hitchcock.” McGill also said he is considering a projector to host special events such as the Super Bowl or Oscars and “might offer late-night bar service on Fridays and Saturdays, to give Bainbridge night owls somewhere to go after most places on the island shut down.”
The feature likewise describes RSIR, saying that the firm will be the other main tenant in the building. Further, “the real estate company, which has operated on Bainbridge since 2011 and has 18 agents, will consolidate its main office on Madison Avenue and a small satellite office in what it calls an ‘Island Living Gallery’ at the 240 Winslow Way site.”
